Palmed, panicked

Dear life of me, strife…

Leather and sweat,

Body pummeled.

Protracted, unprotected

Who roped me into this…

O maniacal bull.

Grip gypped

Flung begun…

Bl a a a  a m ! Man,

Am I glad that’s over with.

No, I’ve not ridden a mechanical bull, have you?  Visited my sister’s farm and took a bunch of photos so was inspired to write a new poem and this is what resulted♫

and I’ve ridden a few horses that would have loved to unseat me as well

    very nice shot

  12. Having only been on a horse once – and that with an English saddle – I can say honestly, never has a small bit of leather looked like a gigantic lifesaver until I saw this picture of a pommel. That is something I would hang onto for dear life if ever I were to go crazy again – oh, I mean, get on a horse!!!!
    Love your poem!

  13. I can not say that I have had the pleasure of riding a mechanical bull… Or a real one!

I think I would pass if I were faced with the possibility…

Perfect post for the letter “P”!

    Thanks for linking.
