  2. I too missed the august supermoon due to cloudy skies and a thunderstorm! But I believe there is 1 more this year.
Love the first abstract photo especially.
Can I ask you what app or filter you used for this…I love the effect!

  7. my favourite is the first one. Great job to do this with a simple image of the moon. 🙂

  8. Laurie, hi! It is very difficult to find your blog. I am glad I found it. Your photos are fabulous! Thanks for your visit. I believe that boudaries will never disappear. Look at the USA. There are still the old boundaries from the civil war, aren’t there?
    Have a great week.

  13. The super moon was breathtaking. We had nice weather and clear skies in upstate NY. You managed to get some really great shots despite the rain. In fact, I really like the “rain” pics. My favorite is the second one. Again…it’s the color. Yes, there is a bit of magic in these. 😉

  14. The super moon was gorgeous out here and I did get a shot or two. I’ll have to play around with them a la Laurie style and see what I can make of them…

  15. I sure know the feeling, we missed it here too, with cloudy skies. It was sad, we were all going to snap some cool photos!

  16. Oooh! These are awesome!

  19. Fun effects. I missed it due to bad weather too 🙁

  20. I always get upset, taking photos of nature around the house. If I open a door, the birds fly away. Or my windows are dirty, or the screen ruins the image. This looks great! I know it’s digital and doesn’t portray the actual thing, but still! {:-D

  21. I missed the big moon too, hidden behind thick clouds, but you could illustrate Hitchcok’s books with your pictures !

  22. The effects have come out really well, Laurie 🙂
    Moon looks different!

  23. We were lucky in Melbourne the Super Moon was visible between clouds but in a way it was good thing to have missed the supermoon as it obviously spurred you into action for this great mini moon capture, great editing as well. It was clever to take the photo inside through your bedroom window.
