Arrivals and departures at O’Hare International often go right over my son’s house. It is more difficult than I thought to capture planes with my Samsung Galaxy III!

  1. You did a great job, styling the photo.
    Have a nice day. 🙂

  2. The straight image is kind of boring, I have to admit, but you sure spiced it up!!

  3. Awesome editing Laurie … I see those planes over O’Hare often … I used to live closer and saw them constantly. It was cool especially when they learned how to glide in and the noise was cut down. Great pics …

  5. Yes, I love, abstraction, like a dolphin and a wave!

  6. I like the ambiguity. It could be a plane in the sky or a shark in the ocean. Nice textures.

  7. love the stylized version….

  8. Superb shot. I like that abstraction also.

  16. I’ve always liked the spiritual concept of looking up. And I love your plane shots.

  17. The stylized version is great – it takes advantage of the space. Thanks for linking this one to the Up Down Challenge.

  18. Great edit!! I love the effect you created.

  19. You could make greeting cards of some of your work. It is just so interesting to me!!

  20. I always love looking up at the planes and wondering who’s on board and where they are all off to! Great job capturing the plane and the clouds at that moment and the editing afterwards. You have encouraged me to play around (I mean edit!) some of my photos recently, so thank you Laurie

love the imagery of the poem and the textures of the photo.

  22. Hi Laurie, what a great picture. I tried to get a cinemagraph (a picture which is animated) with my Lumia from the racing clouds yesterday but they seem to be too far away. I could not do it. Love the juxtaposition of metal and bird. Thanks for sharing.

  23. I’ve heard that’s a very, VERY busy airport! Love what you’ve done to the photo.
