Searched Wikipedia for my surname I married into some 32 years ago:
Kazmierczak is a surname originating in Poland, meaning “son of Kazimierz,” a popular first name in that country.
Kazmierczak may refer to:

  10. As a teacher I always feel sorry for children who have to learn to spell their last name. I had problems pronouncing mine and worried about not being able to pronounce it for the rest of my life! (He found me too.)

  12. Last name origins and genealogy are truly fascinating to me. Although I’m primarily a Spanish descendant, I have a good bit of Italian and even a little British in me. Blessings!

  14. My husband’s ancestors were French Protestants and arrived in the Netherlands in the beginning of the 19th century. One of them became mayor of the Hague, which is still the government’s residence. And yet his surname is as common as Smith in England. François is an ordinary name in France.
